Ishapore 2A1 rifle 7.62×51mm (L2025-13319)

Serial Number K1751. Made in 1969 with a 25-inch barrel chambered for the 7.62×51mm cartridge that has a bright bore with strong visible rifling. This is a conversion of the .303 caliber SMLE Mk III* rifle that was designed by the Rifle Factory Ishapore & manufactured in India by the Ordnance Factories Board. It features an adjustable rear sight assembly with graduations out to 800m & a proprietary 10-round detachable box magazine. Condition overall is very good with black enamel paint across the metallic parts & wood furniture that shows light handling wear. Comes with a military surplus webbed sling in excellent condition as well as a No. I Mk. II* 11.875-inch "Drill Purpose" bayonet with scabbard.
