Serial no. H2298. Manufactured circa the 1960s at Rifle Factory Ishapore, chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO, 25" round barrel. Bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted. Serial numbers are matching, while the magazine is unmarked. The rifle remains in overall very good condition, retaining its distinctive black military finish. The stock shows only light handling and service wear. The Ishapore 2A1 represents India’s post-war adaptation of the classic Lee-Enfield action to the modern 7.62 NATO cartridge. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
