Price: $2,500.00
Item Number: AL5747
Houston Location.
In stock
No Serial Number, circa 18th/19th century, chambered in 1” bore with a 30 ½” round barrel featuring a cannon-style muzzle. Barrel has a grey patina with scattered areas of surface oxidation, and is marked on the right side with “RREXR12/5923”. Secured with four brass barrel bands. Heavy oxidation is visible near the pan. Stock appears to have been repaired, showing evidence of being split and wedged together. A similar example of this style “Karol” musket can be found in Islamic Weapons: Maghrib to Moghul by Anthony C. Tirri, page 271, figure 194. Action functions correctly. A scarce and historically significant piece of Indian military arms.
