Serial No. 7478, manufactured in 1888 by Spandau Arsenal, 11mm, 31½” round barrel. Barrel finish is thinning to a smooth grey patina with scattered light oxidation visible. Receiver has turned to a light grey patina, and factory markings remain sharp and legible. Serial numbers are matching throughout.Stock displays light handling marks consistent with age and service. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A well-preserved example of the Mauser Model 1871/84, the last black-powder repeating rifle issued to the Imperial German Army, marking the transition toward the smokeless powder era.
