Price: $695.00
Item Number: 58760
Houston Location.
Previously sold
Serial No. 9962c, manufactured in 1891 and chambered in 8mm with a 29½" round barrel. Bore is good, showing strong rifling consistent with a rifle that remained serviceable well into its later years. Serial numbers are not matching. Metal surfaces have developed a smooth, even brown patina, while the barrel band retains a unit marking that has been later lined out. Bolt and receiver markings indicate subsequent Turkish ownership. The stock remains in good overall condition with expected handling marks from military use. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A classic example of a well-traveled Commission rifle with layered history.
