NSN. Made 1850s-1870s. 36 caliber with a 12.5” barrel. The barrel has 80%+ of the original brown finish. The frame was case hardened and has traces of the original case colors. The grips are very good with brass inlays. This gun has a tang sight. The barrel is half round, half octagon and the top is marked “HORACE FOX/ CAST- STEEL" Horace Fox was a gunsmith in New York during the mid 1800s.
