A rifle built by Holland & Holland in 1951 sn: 2161 and later customized by J. Roberts & Son and given their serial number of 37513. Custom built sporter on a Mauser 98 action with H&H style downturned engraved bolt handle and outward turned checkered bolt knob. 24” barrel chambered in “Holland’s 375 Magnum Rimless Cartridge” or .375 H&H has a sleeved on island rear sight base with a standing bar and 1 folding leaf engraved 75 and 150, partially sleeved on sling eye and a H&H style front ramp sight with a silver bead and folding sight protector. Custom bottom metal engraved with the caliber, serial number and a tastefully engraved border with an inside the trigger guard release. The trigger is an adjustable commercial “Thor” trigger. Hand-made Turkish walnut stock features a red Decelerator recoil pad, steel grip cap with engraved screw and a single forward crossbolt. Holland’s records show this rifle built with a detachable stock so it is most likely it went to J. Roberts & Son for re-stocking at which time it was engraved with their name on the barrel and serial number. The H&H serial number can be found on the bottom of the barrel near the action. Overall this rifle is in very good condition with minor wear and handling marks.
