SN: 46 made circa 1910’s-20’s in Germany. This is completely unmarked of a manufacturers name but from the style and proof marks it is likely a German Guild gun. 27 ½” barrels, 16 gauge side by side over a rifled barrel that has been sleeved to 25-20 and a flip up rear leaf sight operated by the top tang safety. The top rib has had a scope mount at some point and has 4 filler screws where it was mounted. Snap action under lever action with double triggers, Greener style safety and a Deely style forearm release that does have a small amount of play when on the barrels. Action is fully engraved in traditional Germanic style featuring a full body Roe deer on the right side and stag on the left side. Stock is nicely figured walnut and has a 13 7/8” LOP to a checkered horn butt plate with engraved screws and features an engraved trap door cartridge carrier inlet for 4 extra rounds. Pistol grip is capped with a custom made medallion with a raised pheasant and reads “CTR OCT 1920”. Bores are very good with a very small dent barely noticeable in the right barrel. Finish is in good condition with light even patina, sharp engraving on the action and normal handling marks and light wear on the furniture as expected with a gun of this age.
