Serial no. N75414. Manufactured by Manufacture d'armes de Tulle and adopted in 1936, chambered in 8mm Lebel, 17.7" round barrel. Bore is good with strong, well-defined rifling noted. Serial numbers are matching throughout. The carbine shows honest handling and service wear, with a crack noted in the forearm. Approximately 45,000–50,000 R35 carbines were manufactured as a modernization of older 1886 Lebel rifles, with many seeing frontline service during the Battle of France in 1940.
