French Indochina War-Era MAS Model 1936 7.5x54mm French (L2025-10013)

Serial No. FG67207, manufactured circa 1950–1951, chambered in 7.5x54mm French, with a 23” round barrel. This post-WWII MAS 36 rifle was produced during the early 1950s and is consistent with rifles issued during the First Indochina War. The bolt and floor plate are non-matching, while the remainder of the rifle remains matching. Rifle is not import marked. The finish has worn to an even, attractive grey patina.The hardwood stock shows light handling marks and features a faint French military cartouche on the right side. The action is smooth and functions correctly. This rifle was purchased among a group of known Vietnam bring-backs from the family, and its overall condition and characteristics are consistent with rifles returned from Southeast Asia.
