Fine Colt First Model Derringer (AC204)
Price: $2,950.00
Item Number: AC204
Previously sold
The 41 rimfire caliber First Model Derringer was the first Colt single shot pistol. It is a continuation of the National Arms Company No. 1 derringer which Colt purchased in 1870. The 2.5" barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. The barrel retains approx. 98% of its nickel finish. It is marked on the top COLT'S PAT. F.A. Co. over HARTFORD CT U,S,A, with No 1 over the breech. The scroll engraved steel frame is fine. It does not appear to have been silver plated. The serial number, 1342, matches on the barrel and bottom of the grip. The action functions correctly. This ia a great example of the scarce Colt first model derringer.
