Serial number EN3188. This gun was originally produced in Budapest by FÉG for the Hungarian military prior to 1980 as a select fire AMD-65 assault rifle. After its military service ended, the gun was rebuilt on a new semi-automatic FÉG receiver using many of the its original parts to include its 12.5-inch cold hammer forged chrome-lined barrel. It was then redesignated as an SA2000M by the US importing entity: TGI in Knoxville, Tennessee. Because of this, it has a matching front trunnion, bolt, bolt carrier, dust cover & spring guide. In compliance with Title 18 USC 922(r), the gun is equipped with a TapCo G2 trigger & a 2-inch extension piece between the muzzle & the muzzle brake that brings the overall barrel length to 16.1-inches to qualify it as a Title 1 firearm. The AMD-65 stamped steel lower handguard has been replaced by a quad-rail system & a vertical foregrip has been attached to it. Comes with an aftermarket black plastic pistol grip & an Eastern Bloc 30-round magazine.
