DWM Model 1891 Peruvian Contract from Argentina 7.65x53mm (L2025-12168)

Serial No. S0599, manufactured circa 1900, 7.65x53mm, 29½” round barrel. Serial numbers are non-matching. Rifle has been arsenal refinished in Peru, though it retains its original Argentine markings on the left side of the receiver. Stock shows light handling and usage marks consistent with service. This rifle originated from an Argentine contract order later sold to Peru after Argentina was unable to fulfill payment. Action is smooth and functions correctly. An interesting and well-preserved example of an Argentine Mauser with South American service history, reflecting the complex arms trade of the early 20th century.
