Serial No. 464663, manufactured in 1943 by Inland Manufacturing Division, General Motors. Chambered in .30 Carbine with an 18” round barrel marked “INLAND MFG DIV/GENERAL MOTORS/5-43.” Bore is bright with strong rifling. This carbine has undergone post-war updates, including the addition of a bayonet lug, flip safety, and adjustable rear sight. The stock is in very good condition, retaining a faint Ordnance Department cartouche on the left side.Included with this carbine is a notarized letter from Texas Ranger Lt. Robert Maderia, Company A, documenting his acquisition of the rifle in 1970 from a fellow Trooper. The letter details his use of the carbine as a “car gun” throughout his law enforcement career in South Texas.
