NSN, circa 1862, .58 caliber/16 ga., 20” round barrel. Bore shows no rifling left. Barrel is a smooth brown patina with pin-prick oxidation noted throughout. Lock plate is marked with “Eagle/CSA-FAYETTEVILLE” Rear of the hammer is dated “1862”. Stock has been shortened with expected handling and usage wear visible. Action holds at half and full cock.
