Serial number 5901. Made in 1874. 45 LC caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. This gun is in mint condition as restored. This gun falls into the acceptable custer range and is Ainsworth inspected, but it was probably issued to the 2nd or 5th cavalry. This gun comes with a letter of authentication from noted Colt Single Action expert John Kopec. He declares it all original and awarded this gun the coveted Golden seal reserved for only the original and finest guns at Mr. Kopec’s discretion. This gun was restored to new condition after Mr. Kopec’s examination.
