Colt Single Action Army Artillery Revolver. Made in 1889. Nice sharp gun. Metal has a mostly dark bluish gray patina with blue in the protected areas. Trace amounts of case colors remain on the frame. Grips show typical use. The gun has mixed serial numbers on the parts which is correct for the artillery models. The artillery models were guns that were refurbished for service where the barrel was shortened to 5 ½”. When the old cavalry models were disassembled, no attempt was made to match the parts after the refurbishing. Very nice example.
