Colt Single Action Army .44 RimFire Model (AC1095) CONSIGNMENT

SN: 237.  Made in 1876. 44 RF caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. Metal has been cleaned. All markings are sharp and easily readable. This gun has been restored to its original configuration. The barrel has been sleeved. The hammer channel has been converted to centerfire and has been reconverted to the original rimfire configuration. The grips are very well made replacements.  Accompanying this gun is a factory letter. It was shipped to Spies Kissam and company in New York in 1876. The rimfire guns are unique as they were numbered in their own serial number range from 1-1863. Whiles 1863 of these guns were made, they have an extremely low survival rate as the 44 RF cartridge was obsolete at the time of their production and most of these guns were sold south of the border. This is a very fine example of one even with the restoration.
