Colt Single Action Army .44-.40 caliber revolver (C12563)

Colt Single Action Army .44-.40 caliber revolver. Manufactured in 1897. This revolver has factory rework numbers from the 1930’s so the frame is antique and the barrel and cylinder were added in the 1930’s. Gun was factory refinished on the frame, trigger guard and back strap at that time. The blue on the barrel and cylinder being factory original from the pre-war period. The other parts and frame colors being factory refinished. Interestingly, the 5 ½” barrel has a two line Hartford address as you see on 4 ¾” barrels. Gun has 98% factory case colors and 98% blue. Very interesting black powder, pre-war combination gun.
