Colt Single Action Army .41 Colt caliber revolver. Shipped in 1905 to Bering Cortes Hardware, Houston, Texas. Comes with factory letter. Bottom of left side grip is deeply inscribed J.C. Inside of grips is inscribed J.C. McDonnell Yoakum, Texas 1905. Yoakum is approximately 150 miles Southwest of Houston. Gun has perfect action, grips are very good plus. Bore has strong rifling and some pitting. Gun has scattered areas of light pitting. More research on J.C. McDonnell may prove interesting. Neat old Texas Single Action with factory letter. Comes with hand tooled old holster.
