Colt New Navy Model of 1889 Revolver (AC356)

This 41 Long or Short Colt New Navy Model of 1889 is circa 1893. The 6" barrel has a fine bore with bright rifling with a couple of spots in the grooves. The gun retains approx. 95% bright Colt blue with grip strap and cylinder fading and light edge wear. While this is a true 1889 model, it has the 1892 style frame modifications with the cut outs for the 1892 hand and locking bolt which are not used on this pistol. The checkered hard rubber grips, with the oval COLT at the top, are excellent with no chips or cracks. The action functions correctly. One rarely finds a New Navy Model 1889 revolver in this condition. Most have little or no finish remaining. Don't miss this fine example! AUSTIN LOCATION
