Colt Model 1871/72 Open Top Revolver. .44 Rimfire caliber. Bore is very good, mostly bright with strong rifling. This is a sharp Open Top showing holster wear on the barrel address. Action works crisply and indexes perfectly. Grips are very good plus. Numbers match except wedge which has no number. The Open Top was the predecessor of the famous Colt Single Action. When found now days these are usually in poor condition. This is a sharp example with a very pleasing appearance. If you need a good Open Top to begin your single action collection this is a fine opportunity!
