Colt 1911A1 .45 ACP caliber pistol. Excellent Colt 1911A1 with identified documentation. Gun is excellent with 98-99% original finish. Gun was part of a contract let by the Army in 1944. Letter from the son of the World War II veteran details his fathers service as 5th Army Air Corps pilot and rose to the rank of Colonel as a Wing Commander 5th Army Air Corps in the Pacific and later in the Korean War was recalled to duty. Beautiful 1911A1 Colt with provenance!
