Colt 1861 Navy U.S. military issue. Serial # 1490 with factory letter. Gun has matching numbers. Gun has been re-patinated and has a very nice looking patina. Letter shows the gun shipped in 1861 to the U.S. Government Washington arsenal to Major G.D. Ramsay. Interestingly, this Martial 1861 has no Martial markings and no evidence of ever having any. Serial numbers are absolutely correct with no re-stamps. Good looking U.S. 1861 with letter. Note: this is and early war shipment date (September 21, 1861) 200 guns. Possibly the early shipment received no Martial markings??
