Colt 1855 Revolving Rifle (AC979)

Serial number 6735?. Made circa 1850s to early 1860s. 8mm caliber with a 23 ½” barrel. This gun has been converted into a cartridge gun from percussion. This gun has a British proof on the frame and then there are what appears to be either German or Belgian proofs on the barrel and frame which was done at the time of the conversion. The barrel is a replacement done at the time of the conversion. Metal has all been refinished. Very neat Colt 1855 Revolving rifle cartridge conversion. Note: We are unsure of the caliber and we are not selling this gun as a shooter as we do not believe this gun to be safe to shoot.
