Chinese Type 53 Carbine Bolt Action Rifle 7.62x54R (L2025-15244)

Serial no. T53023769. Manufactured in 1955 at Factory 26, chambered in 7.62x54R,20.5" round barrel. The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. Serial numbers are non-matching. The bayonet and buttplate have been removed. The left side of the receiver is import marked, while the stock shows scattered handling impressions consistent with military use and storage wear. The Chinese Type 53 was a licensed copy of the Soviet M44 Mosin-Nagant carbine and saw extensive service with Chinese and allied Communist forces throughout the Cold War and Vietnam era. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
