Cased Colt 1848 Baby Dragoon (C9749)

Cased Colt 1848 Baby Dragoon. Beautiful gun with 6" barrel and about 95% of the blue on the barrel. Case colors are present and are muted. Baby Dragoons typically do not have bright case colors. Cylinder scene is excellent. Grips are excellent. Gun is in an unusual old case that resembles a Paterson case. There are examples of Dragoon cases that were done similar to this. Instead of fitting properly, the bottom right part of the case is notched out to accommodate the butt of the gun. The alteration was done in the period of use as it is lined like the rest of the case. Baby Dragoons are hard to find with any condition; this is a first rate gun!
