Carcano TS Carbine 6.5×52mm (L2025-12864)

Serial number 8698. This gun was originally produced as a Model 1891 rifle with a 30-inch round barrel by the "Officine Riparazione d'Artigleria" in Rome in 1918, but it was then converted to Model 1891/24 Carcano TS "Truppe Speciali" Carbine configuration with an 18-inch barrel by Terni Arsenal in 1925. It is marked with a House of Savoy crest firing proof & an "FP" indicating that the steel came from Fonderie Piemontesi. The bore is good with strong visible rifling. IO/RTI import mark on left side of the receiver. Overall condition is fair with extensive wear on the metallic parts & handling marks on the wood consistent with military service.
