Serial No. W12578, originally manufactured in 1942 and later subjected to Factory Thorough Repair (FTR) in 1952 at the Royal Ordnance Factory, Fazakerley. Chambered in .303 British with a 25" round barrel, the bore is bright with strong rifling noted. Serial numbers are matching, with the magazine unmarked. This rifle is designated “No.4 Mk. ½,” reflecting the Fazakerley conversion in which a small steel block was installed in the stock and the trigger was re-hung from a cross pin, improving trigger consistency over the original receiver-mounted design. The rifle remains in overall very good condition with minimal handling and storage wear noted. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
