NSN. Manufactured circa 1887, chambered in .577/450 Martini-Henry, 33¼" round barrel. Bore is good with scattered areas of oxidation noted, while the rifling remains strong and well defined. The metal has aged to an attractive brown-grey patina with scattered oxidation present, while the original receiver markings remain visible. The stock shows expected handling and service impressions consistent with its age. The Mark IV represents the final major variation of the classic Martini-Henry service rifle and saw extensive British colonial service during the late 19th century. Action functions correctly.
