British 1st Model Brown Bess 46” barrel. Stock marked (UNITED STATES) boldly in large letters. These U.S. muskets were captured from British Troops and marked to show U.S. ownership. Similar marks are found on French Charleville muskets (supplied by France to the U.S. troops). Very hard to find in in nice condition. Overall condition is very good. Action works perfectly. Lock is faintly Tower marked on the tail. Also marked U.S. faintly on the top pf breech. Great piece of Revolutionary War history! $23,000.00
