Serial no. 504623. Manufactured in 1943 by Sako , chambered in 7.62x54R,27" round barrel. The bore is excellent with sharp, well-defined rifling noted throughout. Serial numbers are matching. The rifle remains in overall excellent condition with minimal handling impressions noted. The receiver is marked “S in cog/SK.Y, 504632/1943,” indicating Finnish Civil Guard ownership and issue, while the stock bears a Civil Guard cartouche dated “42.” Finnish M39 rifles are widely regarded as some of the finest Mosin-Nagant variants, known for their improved accuracy and craftsmanship. Overall this is an outstanding and very well-preserved example. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
