NSN. Made circa 1800-1810. 54 caliber with 9” barrels. The barrels have approximately 90% of the original blue on each barrel. Each barrel is engraved and gold inlaid with scrolls around the sight and barrel address. The barrel address is inlaid in gold “Peniet A Paris” The lock are nicely polished an engraved “Peniet Arquebusier/ De Roi Paris” The iron mountings are gold plated. The wood is excellent as refinished. The stock is in excellent condition . Peniet worked in Paris and then under Nicholas Noel Boutet. The case and accessories show Boutet influences. Beautiful Set!
