Serial No. H9800, manufactured in 1894. Chambered in 7.65×53mm with a 29” round barrel, this Loewe-produced Model 1891 features a bright, shiny bore with strong rifling. Serial numbers are matching throughout, including the cleaning rod. The Argentine national crest has been professionally ground from the receiver, a common practice during the 1930s–1940s when rifles were surplus, transferred, or sold abroad. Many examples sent to Paraguay during the Chaco War (1932–1935) had their crests removed to obscure direct Argentine support, and later regulations also required crest removal. The stock is in very good condition with light storage impressions consistent with age. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A clean, well-preserved example of the classic Argentine Model 1891 Mauser.
