Serial number M5146. Made in Berlin in 1895 by Ludwig Loewe & Co. with a 29-inch barrel that has a bright bore with strong visible rifling. This former Argentine military service rifle is chambered for the 7.65×53mm Belgian Mauser cartridge & it is a rarity in so far as its national crest has not been ground. "Shaking hands" & Phrygian cap proof marks can be found on many of the rifle's components. The condition overall is very good with original factory finish across the metallic parts that has aged into a dull patina in some areas with spots of light frosting on the magazine, the rear sight assembly, the barrel & the bolt handle. Comes with a canvas sling & a 28.5-inch cleaning rod.
