U.S. Model 1841 Mississippi rifle. Lock is marked “U.S. 1852”. Rifle is .54 caliber. Stock has a repair in between the barrel bands on the right hand side. “S.B.C.” and “Mary Jare” are carved on the left side of stock, with “I K” on right of wrist. Metal has a gray patina.
