Walther S/A 12 gauge shotgun. Early and unusual design Walther Patent Automatic shotgun. Barrel length 27 1/2". Bore is excellent. Gun is made about 1922-1923 and the original patent drawings are dated 1918 but production probably started 1922. Right side of receiver is marked "Carl Bauer & Co. Suhl/Berlin Germany". Probably made for export. Gun is very good overall and bolt cocks using a "toggle" side lever. Neat early system. Shoots 2 1/2" shells.
