Winchester 12 12ga caliber shotgun. Model 12 riot gun. This is or was a deluxe model 12 that was altered (barrel cut) to a riot gun in approximately 1941 to be used as a plant guard gun at Dow Chemical Co. Plant near Freeport, TX. The triggerguard is stamped with the plant issue number 5580SE29. In World War II Defense Plants used the must expeditious way to obtain short barrel shotguns. Gun rates about very good.
