Mauser 71/92 Model 6.5 X 54 R caliber carbine. This is a German model 1871 converted to the French Daudeteau 6.5 X 54 R cartridge. This was done at the French St. Denis Arsenal in about 1892 for Uruguay. It has non matching serial numbers. This happened at the time of conversion. Excellent bore and wood. Has original rod. Very, very seldom seen and in very good overall condition.
