Ball Civil War Carbine. The Ball carbine was one of the rarer breech loading Civil War carbines with just 1,002 manufactured. These guns were made by E.G. Lamson and Company. This firm was original Robbins and Lawrence before being purchased and renamed. This gun has a dark gray patina on metal. Wood is very fine still with nice sharp cartouche on left hand side.
