Serial No. 24, circa 1893, 7.5x53 Swiss, 22" round barrel. Bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling visible. Serial numbers are matching, carbine remains in overall excellent condition, a small wood repair is noted at the tang. Action is smooth and functions correctly. One of only 7000 made before the Schmidt-Rubin became standard issued. Note: Not safe to shoot with 7.5x55 caliber ammunition.
