Large All Metal Stocked Percussion Pistol Marked Hyde and Goodrich. .50 caliber with a 5” barrel, 11” overall in length. Barrel marked "Hyde and Goodrich.” Behind hammer is marked "Van Wart Son & Co.” Gun is in nice condition. Very good engraving on the stock. The firm Hyde and Goodrich was a firm out of New Orleans that imported military and luxury items. Hyde and Goodrich supplied swords and guns to the Confederacy. Very rare and fine piece!
