Colt 1911 with Scarce A. F. Stoeger 22 Conversion Unit. Made in 1918. Frame has 50% or so original blue. Conversion unit has 30% to 40% original blue. The Stoeger conversion units are a seldom seen unit that was made by A. F. Stoeger which was an early importer. Stoeger is mostly known for their imports of Luger. They produced this conversion unit which turns a 45 caliber 1911 into a single shot 22 caliber. Very rarely seen!
