Winchester 1895 Lee Navy .236 Navy caliber rifle. Unique Winchester 1895 Lee Navy rifle in .236 Navy. First straight pull and small bore rifle adopted by the Navy and Marines. Rifle is in overall good condition. Metal has a dark brown patina, but does have original bluing. Stock looks to have been refinished and shows an old repair at the wrist. Bore has strong rifling are dark in the grooves. Navy markings are present and sharp Serial number is 7841. This rifle would have been under the Navy’s first contract order. The 1895 Winchester Lee Navy saw action in the Spanish American war and the Boxer Rebellion.
