German Model 1871 11mm caliber carbine. Made at the Suhl arsenal in 1877. Butt plate is unit marked “B.1.T.E.F.4.42”. Most likely a train unit. Serial numbers are matching, except for the bolt (which is only one digit off). Very good overall condition. A desirable unit marked carbine.
