Sharps 1874 Conversion .45-70 caliber rifle. The bore has some pitting, but strong rifling. The top of the barrel is marked “J.P. Lower / Denver, Co.” meaning this was a gun that was sent out West. This gun still has a military style stock and is just the type that one would find on the plains. A very neat old Sharps!
