NSN, made in 1828, .69 caliber, 42" round smoothbore barrel. Barrel and lock plate have been polished to a bright finish with scattered pin-prick pitting visible throughout. Musket has been converted by to its original configuration, Lock is marked with "EAGLE/ L. POMEROY, rear is stamped "1828/U.S." Stock has expected handling wear visible with a faint outline of the cartouche present. Action holds at half and full cock but trigger will not engage correctly. Barrel is marked with "Conn" meaning it was issued to the state of Connecticut.
