Standard Pattern Model 1840 Musicians sword with a 28.25" straight blade, fuller measures 25.25". Blades finish is a dull grey patina with scattered oxidation visible. Ricasso is marked "Hortsmann/Phila". Brass guard, hilt and pommel has surface soiling with an antique shine. Leather scabbard is fair with flaking occuring. Brass throat is loose. Consignment
