Previously sold
NSN, made in 1845, .69 caliber, 30" round smooth bore barrel. Rifle is been cut down from its original configuration to a forge gun. Metal and other iron parts are a dark grey patina with surface oxidation visible. Lock plate has been lightly polished to read the factory markings. "Eagle/U.S." rear of the hammer is marked "HARPERS/FERRY/1845" Stock is dry with nicks, dings and scratches noted. Action does not hold at half or full cock.
