Serial number 12736. Made in 1874. 45 LC caliber with a 7 ½” barrel. This is a Ainsworth inspected Colt Cavalry Model Single Action that was in the batch issued to the state of West Virginia and subsequently sold to the civilian market to raise funds. The majority of these guns found themselves on the western frontier. This gun has had some restoration which includes a lengthened barrel, replaced small parts, remarked serial numbers barrel address and artificial aging.
